Hello! Let me introduce myself.
Hi, I’m Moraa Dulloo
I’m a wife, mother, nurse, writer, traveler and the heart behind The Nested Compass.
Originally from Kenya, my journey has taken me across countries, cultures and seasons of life before eventually settling in the United States with my husband and our son. Along the way, I’ve learned that motherhood has a way of changing everything and somehow teaching us who we are all over again.
Like many women, I know what it feels like to lose pieces of yourself in the beautiful, exhausting work of caring for others. I know the joy, the uncertainty, the homesickness, the identity shifts and the quiet moments of wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again.
The Nested Compass was born from those experiences.

This space is for mothers navigating life, family, career, travel, faith and personal growth. Here you’ll find honest reflections, practical resources, gentle encouragement, travel inspiration and stories that remind you that you are not alone in your journey.
As a registered nurse with over a decade of experience, I bring both professional insight and personal experience to the conversations we share. But more than anything, I write as a fellow mother still learning, growing and finding her way.
I believe motherhood doesn’t erase the woman you were before, it helps shape the woman you are becoming.
Thank you for being here. I hope you find comfort, encouragement and a sense of belonging as we walk this journey together.
With love,
Moraa Dulloo
